On October 14, the Taiwanese news outlet SETNEWS Network reported that Cambodia’s Princess Norodom Jenna is considering moving to Korea to debut as an idol. The 12-year-old princess has already made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, often invited as a special guest to fashion shows and Chinese broadcasts. Known for her exceptional singing and dancing abilities, it has recently emerged that she plans to go to Korea to train with hopes of becoming a global star.

According to the report, Princess Jenna is fluent in five languages: French, Khmer, Thai, Chinese, and English. She is also a huge fan of K-pop, particularly admiring BLACKPINK’s Lisa and (G)I-DLE’s Minnie.
However, the following day, Jenna’s management team issued a now-deleted statement clarifying that Jenna does not and will not become a K-pop idol. They emphasized, “Jenna has not, does not, and will not become a K-pop trainee in South Korea.”
Jenna officially entered the entertainment industry as an actress and singer in 2018, quickly gaining popularity through various commercials and TV dramas. With her striking resemblance to Lisa and her outstanding dance skills, she is often referred to as Cambodia’s “Little Lisa.”
During her appearance on YTN’s “Global Korean” last year, she expressed her passion for K-pop, stating, “I loved everything about K-pop idols’ songs and dances when I saw them. That’s how I started to become interested in K-pop.”
In 2022, she joined KWAVE Entertainment, a Korean agency operating in Cambodia, to pursue her dream of debuting as a K-pop singer. She officially began her activities in November 2022 and released a duet titled “You Da One” with singer BOBO.

Despite being just 12 years old, Princess Jenna is ambitious and deeply immersed in K-pop culture. She has diligently practiced dance routines, covered popular K-pop songs, and shared her performances with her 800,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. Her original song “You Da One,” released last year, further showcased her musical talent.
Princess Jenna’s potential has not gone unnoticed. In an interview, Na Yoon Jung, the CEO of a Korean entertainment company, expressed interest in collaborating with the young princess, praising her exceptional learning ability and immense potential. Since last year, Jenna has been training under the company’s guidance, setting her sights on making a significant impact in Korea’s entertainment industry.
In her interview with YTN, Princess Jenna passionately shared her love for K-pop, highlighting its unique and modern appeal. She admires the irresistible energy of K-pop songs that keep listeners engaged. With their vibrant melodies and addictive beats, K-pop tracks exude a cheerful and cool vibe that resonates with fans worldwide.
Princess Jenna was born to Cambodian Princess Norodom Bophary and a French businessman, making her the great-granddaughter of Cambodia’s former King Norodom Sihanouk.
